About Me

My name is Bryan Fontaine. I’m a lifelong resident of NH. I started Basics on Demand as a small, part time endeavor in July of 2018. I did so after systematizing and improving on the lessons I’d been teaching family and friends privately for years with the goal of sharing the skills and information which I’ve gained over the last 18 years of shooting. I’ve gained professional credentials as an NRA Basic Pistol Instructor and have gone through multiple courses of civilian firearms training (and I continue to do so!). I’m also an Army Infantry veteran. Though my civilian training and military training with firearms have different philosophies of use, both have very many overlapping areas of personal value to me for conceal and carry, home defense, and contribute to my ability to instruct. Safety with firearms is my number one carryover from both spheres of training and I hope to impart that most of all when people train with me.

I try to offer an intimidation-free, well mannered, and informative private service to NH residents in their homes or other settings. Additionally I try and provide useful range drills to help shooters gain and improve the skills they’ll need to be successful in whatever goal they have for shooting. I try to work with you at times which are compatible with your schedule (except on Sundays). I believe that almost anyone can learn to shoot safely and effectively. I hope you’ll let me show you how.
