The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course introduces students to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely.
This is an excellent course designed by the National Rifle Association, America’s leader in firearms education, safety, and training. This course includes an introduction to revolvers and semi automatic pistols. The student will receive a student guide book during this class.
What You’ll Learn:
-Essential gun safety rules
-Different types of pistols and their parts and operation
-The basics of ammunition
-The fundamentals of pistol shooting
-Different shooting positions
-The most common shooting errors
-Proper gun cleaning and maintenance
-How to maintain your skills
This instructor led course is approximately 8 hours long.
There is a knowledge check test and a live fire qualification. The student will receive a certificate of completion after successfully passing the course. This certificate may be satisfactory proof of training in your state to obtain a pistol carry permit. Check your state’s laws.
